Georgiana and Mrs. Reynolds
GEORGIANA
I beg your pardon, Mrs. Reynolds. Did you say something?
MRS. REYNOLDS
Oh no, Miss Darcy.
GEORGIANA
I thought I heard you mutter something about Miss Bingley.
MRS. REYNOLDS
Oh no, Miss. I would never say anything about one of the master's guests.
GEORGIANA
You don't like her any more than I do, do you?
MRS. REYNOLDS
Well, Miss, it's not my place to pass judgment upon --
GEORGIANA
I'd like to know that I'm not the only one around here who doesn't like her.
MRS. REYNOLDS
Miss, if the master heard me saying such things about Miss Bingley, he'd have my hide.
DARCY
Saying what things, Mrs. Reynolds?
MRS. REYNOLDS
Oh, my word.
DARCY
You know full well I'd be lost without you around here, Mrs. Reynolds. What are we talking about here?
GEORGIANA
Brother, I was just asking Mrs. Reynolds what she thought of Miss Bingley.
DARCY
Georgiana, you shouldn't put Mrs. Reynolds in such a position.
MRS. REYNOLDS
Well, I'm off, sir. Million things to do.
GEORGIANA
But I'd like to know that it's not just me who hates her.
DARCY
Let me put your mind at ease and say that I'll put a shotgun in my mouth and pull the trigger before I marry Miss Caroline Bingley.
GEORGIANA
Oh, Fitzwilliam! How revolting! Must you say such things?
